  REMINDER – Positive Coaching Alliance
All high school varsity, high school junior varsity and junior high school head coaches must complete the Positive Coaching Alliance Double Goal Coach Online Course prior to the start of the 2010 AYLL lacrosse season.

If you completed the course last year, you do not need to complete the course again. The first five coaches to use the code ArizonaYL118 will get the course for free. After that, the course is $25 and must be paid for by the coach.

  ANNOUNCEMENT – 5th/6th Grade League General Policies
The AYLL Junior High School Coaches Association has adopted the following general policies and guidelines for the newly formed AYLL 5th/6th grade league:
  1. Rules
    1. JHS rules—NO take out checks
    2. Uniform—pennies
  2. Games
    1. Running Clock
    2. Round Robin Play (3-4 teams per venue)
    3. 3 – 4 mini-tournaments per season
    4. Cactus Cup Participation
  3. Players
    1. JHS boundaries apply
    2. Where teams don’t have enough—regional teams
    3. 6th graders can play on both 5/6 or 7/8—NO 5th up at 7/8 or vice versa
  4. Regional Teams
    1. There will not be a 5th grader within our boundaries that isn’t offered the opportunity to play.
    2. Players that play on a regional team are expected to play for their appropriate JHS team as a 6th grader. No grandfathering.
  REMINDER – Team Registration Deadlines
New Teams to AYLL: The 2010 AYLL membership filing deadline for those organizations wishing to field a first year team regardless of the age level, is October 15, 2009. Please contact newteam@azlax.com for any questions regarding first year teams including minimum organizational standards and team boundaries. First year team applications will be approved or denied on or before November 1, 2009.

Returning Middle Schools: The 2010 AYLL team registration filing deadline, for returning middle school teams, is October 15, 2009. Each such team registration must be accompanied by a non-refundable check in the amount of $500.00. A link to the official 2010 AYLL team registration form will be available on the league website in September.

Returning High School Teams: The 2010 AYLL team registration filing deadline, for returning junior varsity and varsity high school teams, is November 15, 2009. Each such team registration must be accompanied by a non-refundable in the amount of $500.00.
